Mare of Easttown series 2 might not happen at all – and here is why

Head of HBO, Casey Bloys, recently also confirmed to Variety that it is not known yet whether or not a second series will ever happen. "If Brad felt like he had a story to tell that felt like it would be at the same level, I think everybody would be open to it,' Bloys said. "Right now, he doesn’t have that story. Who knows? However, Angourie Rice, who plays Mare's daughter Siobhan, recently told Elle that while she initially was keen to film a second instalment, she has since had some second thought on whether or not there really is another story to tell.
