Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan are expecting their first child together
Mark Wright has opened up about becoming a dad for the first time.
The reality star and actress revealed they were expecting their first child in December, and Michelle’s due date is getting closer.
The parents-to-be are so “excited” about welcoming their first child with Mark opening up about fatherhood in an interview with The Sun.
Mark said they’re so excited to become parents, especially because he looks up to his own dad.
He told the publication:
“I’m just excited for the whole process. I’m just really excited and can’t wait for it to happen.”
“A parent shapes you. If you haven’t got a good upbringing, you can still end up being a good person, but if you’ve got good parents, like we have, you’re going out into life [with] a massive head start,” the dad-to-be said.
“My dad is everything you’d dream [of] in a dad. He’s always put us first, no matter what, whether that was financially or in terms of love and care,” Mark added.
“We’ve always felt so loved, and that’s one of the most important things for any parent – to make your child feel loved and to [let] them know [you’re] there,” he said.
During an appearance on The One Show, Mark said he was feeling a little nervous about becoming a parent for the first time, but is mostly excited for this new chapter of their lives.
Mark and Michelle were recently victims of a burglary at their Essex mansion.
A gang of masked men broke into the couple’s home last month, leaving them both incredibly shaken.
It is understood that the pair heard a window smash before their security alarm went off on Tuesday. They then rushed to their bedroom for safety.
The couple locked themselves in a bedroom when “four masked raiders broke into their home around 6 pm.”
The burglars were only in the couple’s mansion for around a minute, according to The Sun.
