The perfect response.
Earlier today, Meghan Markle visited a nursing home named Brinsworth House in London and met with a number of the residents while also trying her hand at some arts and crafts.
The visit from the Duchess of Sussex was a great success by all accounts and one conversation is getting a huge reaction on social media.
Thirty-seven-year-old Meghan had tea and chatted with some of the people who live there and one lady’s words had a major impact as did the perfect response from the Duchess.
The below tweet was shared by Hannah Furness, arts and royal correspondent for The Telegraph and it describes the short conversation between Meghan and one of the female residents at Brinsworth.
It features a video tweeted by Emily Andrews, royal correspondent for The Sun and during the short chat captured on social media, Meghan said that she is feeling” very pregnant today”.
“Do you have kids?” asks Meghan.
“No I don’t, I had a career.”
“Yes… that I understand.”#DuchessofSussex #DuchessMeghan https://t.co/iJm0VFriBk— Hannah Furness (@Hannah_Furness) December 18, 2018
According to The Daily Mail, Josephine Gordon, a retired actress, told Meghan that she didn’t have children but she did have a career.
Meghan’s response, as a former actress herself, was to say that this is something she understands and it’s been getting a lot of love from people on Twitter.
As fans of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle know, they are expecting their first child in spring of next year.

It might be a simple thing to say but the fact that she said she understands and was empathetic, it’s the perfect response really.
