Meghan Markle has received her first official royal gift and it’s a bit odd

Is it a bit sexist too?

We’re not so sure about this.

Every year a list of the gifts the British Royal family received is published. It details what each member received in the preceding year.

Last year Meghan Markle even made the list, even though she’s not officially part of the Royal family just yet.

While the kids got toys, Kate Middleton got chocolates and flowers, poor old Meghan was just gifted with an apron.

According to The Daily Mail, the present was given to Prince William, from someone in Finland, to give to Meghan shortly after their engagement was confirmed in November.

Usually, the royal presents have a secondary meaning, so it’s believed that it’s connected to how they got engaged. Meghan said before that it happened while they were roasting a chicken:

“Just a cosy night, it was — what we were doing? Just roasting chicken, trying to roast a chicken and it was just an amazing surprise.

It was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got on one knee.”

It’s a tad on the sexiest side, though.

Meanwhile, the Queen got a glitterball Christmas tree decoration and a ceremonial boomerang.
