Meghan Markle really upset royal fans at Wimbledon last week with this request

Hmm…

So last week, the gorgeous Meghan Markle paid a visit to Wimbledon to watch her BFF, Serena Williams play.

It was not a formal royal visit, and Meghan attended in a private capacity.

However, when you’re a member of the royal family, you can never really attend anything privately.

It seems as though Meghan’s attempt at privacy annoyed royal fans.

The Duchess’s surprise appearance at the tennis competition obviously sent fans into a frenzy, however people were warned not to take snaps.

According to the Telegraph, fans sitting near Meghan Markle were told not to take photos because she was “in a private capacity.”

Hmm…

Media consultant Sally Jones received a tap on the shoulder when she tried to snap a picture of the Duchess.

Chatting to the Telegraph, Sally revealed that one of Meghan’s body guards said:

“Would you not take photographs of the Duchess. She’s here in a private capacity.”

She continued, explaining:

“I think this royal protection officer was quite embarrassed.”

“He appeared a bit mystified as to why he was being asked to make such a request.”

“I told him it was bonkers and that even if I had been trying to snap the Duchess I’d have got a blurry picture of her right ear.”

“Apart from anything else, there were hundreds of people clicking away.”

“I said to him, ‘have you thought about having a word with any of those television cameras?’ He looked a little uncomfortable.”

She made a very valid point though.

This news comes just days after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry christened their son in a private ceremony.

The privacy of the event upset many fans.

What do you think? Is Meghan entitled to privacy at public events?
