Nonprofit mental health charity This Is My Brave, have publicly announced that they will not be accepting donations from actor and writer Jamie Lynn Spears.

Spears posted to her social media with the cover of her new book and explained to fans that she wanted to open up about mental health and that’s why she chose the charity;

“I know I still have ALOT of learning to do, but I feel like finishing this book gave me closure on this “30 year long” chapter of my life, and hopefully helps anyone else out there who forgot their worth, lost their voice, or is trying to break an unhealthy cycle in their life. Which is why, I’m so happy to announce that a portion of my book proceeds will be going to @thisismybrave.”

Immediately after Spears’ post the This Is My Brave charity received an influx of backlash regarding their connection to the Zoey 101 star.

Jamie Lynn has come under a lot of scrutiny during her older sister’s conservatorship battle with their father Jamie, with one of those people being Britney herself.

Due to the intense backlash This Is My Brave posted a public message saying that they would no longer be accepting any donations from Jamie Lynn.
