“Strong southerly winds, veering westerly. Very strong gusts expected for a short time this afternoon and evening, causing some disruption,” the warning reads.

Also, newly published is a Status Yellow wind warning for the province of Leinster, as well as the counties Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, and Waterford.

Taking effect between 8 am and 8 pm on Wednesday, the alert states:

These latest alerts follow another Status Yellow wind warning already issued for Clare, Cork, Galway, Kerry, Limerick and Mayo.

This warning will be valid from 1 am to 5 pm on Wednesday and reads:

Meanwhile, in its forecast for the rest of the week after Wednesday, Met Éireann says conditions are set to be “unsettled or changeable and cool”.
