Met Éireann issue a rainfall warning for three counties

Cathy Donohue

Not ideal.

Met Éireann has issued a rainfall warning for three counties which comes into effect tomorrow night at 9 pm.

The national forecaster says that ‘heavy, thundery showers’ are likely to occur in Wexford, Cork and Waterford between the hours of 9 pm and 6 am.

Although these showers might be intermittent, there may be “local falls of 25 to 35mm”.

Simply put, you won’t want to be outside at this time.

However, it’s a mixed bag as the rest of the country should see relatively good weather.

The forecast for today is great FYI… “dry and warm in most areas this afternoon with good spells of sunshine and just the odd shower”. We’ll take that.

It does change a little bit tomorrow and although there will be cloud and hazy sunshine, the rain won’t be far off.

Sunday is going to be warm and at the moment, the outlook is good for the early part of next week. Monday and Tuesday should be lovely and sunny “with temperatures in the low to mid-twenties generally”.
