That has been the weather cycle for the majority of Irish counties over the last few weeks and if you’re living in Galway, Clare, and Kerry, you better keep the umbrella handy.
Met Éireann have issued a status yellow rainfall warning from the three west coast counties.
The warning was issued this afternoon and is valid from 2pm on Sunday, 4 August until 8pm on the same day.
People in the area are expected to face “heavy downpours during Sunday, possibly prolonged, which will lead to rainfall accumulations of 20 to 30 mm, bringing a risk of spot flooding.”
As for the rest of the country, at the time of writing, Met Éireann states that “Sunday will start mainly dry with bright or sunny spells.
“Showers will develop from early morning in the southwest, moving north and east over the country through the day, becoming heavy, with a chance of thunder, particularly in the west, and later in the northwest. Highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees in light to moderate southeast winds.”
