Met Éireann forecaster Liz Gavin spoke to The Irish Independent and explained exactly why we won't be building any snowmen during Christmas 2018.
"So far there's no indication in our chart of snow for Christmas, as the temperatures are far too mild".The meteorologist went on to say that we're seeing temperatures of between nine degrees to 13 degrees this week five degrees the lowest temperature expected over the next week and to allow for snow, it would have to get significantly colder.
A couple of months ago, there was a flurry of bets indicating that there would be snow this Christmas but it seems that people were getting ahead of themselves regarding this particular weather prediction.
Ah well, bring on the big day all the same.
