Bring a brolly.
If you haven’t already noticed, it’s rotten outside… and it looks like it’s going to get worse.
With Met Éireann issuing two weather warnings last night, the day is going to be filled with rain and wind all across the country.
Wet and windy. Heavy rain in many parts of the country at first but gradually breaking up during the morning; there will be further outbreaks also throughout the afternoon & evening. Strong & gusty southeasterly winds will gradually ease through the day. Highs of 6 to 8 degrees. pic.twitter.com/9IHHLnm6MZ

The weather forecaster said: “Wet and windy with heavy rain in many parts of the country at first but the rain will gradually break up during the morning; there will be further outbreaks also throughout the afternoon and evening. Strong and gusty southeasterly winds will gradually ease through the day. Highs of 6 to 8 degrees.”
Delightful.
Tonight is not looking much better either: “Mostly cloudy with some patchy rain and drizzle overnight but good dry periods also. Lows of 3 to 6 degrees in moderate to fresh southeast winds.”
Moving into the weekend, we’re going to see more wind and rain hit the country until Sunday when it’s predicted to dry up and the sun will *hopefully* show its face.
