Michelle Obama is in for a luxe Irish treat this St Patrick’s Day

The First Lady will be receiving seaweed rather than shamrock

Taoiseach Enda Kenny will make his traditional visit to the White House today, and while President Barack Obama is usually presented with a bowl of shamrock, the First Lady’s gift is much more to our taste.

For the second year in a row, Michelle Obama will be presented with a box of luxury skin treats from Irish seaweed-based spa brand VOYA.

This year it’s a bespoke VOYA White Gift Box, designed especially for Mrs Obama and containing a luxury selection of the brand’s award-winning body range with its newly designed packaging.  VOYA’s New Invigorating Seaweed Soap, Reparative Hand Crème and Angelicus Serratus Nourishing Body Oil will all be taking their place in the White House bathroom cabinet next week.

VOYA founder Mark Walton said: “It’s an honour and a privilege to be once again Ireland’s gift of choice for the First Lady.
