Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher haven't given their kids presents at Christmas for years - but they have a pretty good reason for it.
The actors share two kids, 10-year-old Wyatt and eight-year-old Dimitri, but it doesn't sound like having two Hollywood superstars for presents means that they're treated to a mountain of presents under the tree on Christmas Day.
Speaking back in 2017, Kunis told ETOnline that they don't give their kids any presents on December 25. The Bad Moms star said: “So far, our tradition is no presents for the kids.
“We're instituting it this year because when the kids are [younger than] one, it doesn't really matter.
“Last year, when we celebrated Christmas, Wyatt was two, and it was too much. We didn't give her anything - it was the grandparents.
"The kid no longer appreciates the one gift. They don't even know what they're expecting; they're just expecting stuff.”
The tradition isn't just being enforced by Kunis and Kutcher, though, with the pair encouraging their parents to limit the gift-giving as well. The Ted actor added: “We've told our parents, ‘We're begging you - if you have to give her something, pick one gift. Otherwise, we'd like to take a charitable donation to the Children's Hospital or a pet, whatever you want.’ That's our new tradition.”
The underlying philosophy behind the no-gift policy? They don't want to raise their kids to become "a****les."
The couple have vowed to do all they can to make sure their children are brought up in as normal an environment as possible and don't grow up being spoilt or entitled.
For this reason, Kutcher and Kunis have also refused to set up a trust fund for their children, with Kutcher saying he and his wife will "end up giving our money away to charity" instead.
