Missing Woman Jo Jo To Be Remembered At Kilkenny Castle Ceremony Today

Alison Bough

Missing Callan woman Jo Jo (Josephine) Dullard is to be remembered at a ceremony in Kilkenny Castle this afternoon.

The 21-year-old went missing 21 years ago on the 9th of November while travelling home from Dublin.

She was last seen making a phonecall from a phonebox in Moone, Co Kildare. A short time later a woman answering Jo Jo’s description was seen leaning in the back door of a dark coloured Toyota car, possibly a Carina. There were further sightings of a woman similar to Jo Jo in Castledermot, Co Kildare at around midnight. The driver or occupants of the Toyota have never been traced.

When she never reached home, her family became concerned and reported her missing to the Gardai. Jo Jo was last seen wearing black jeans, a black jacket, a white top and black shoes.

She will be remembered at the missing persons monument in the grounds of Kilkenny Castle at two o’clock this afternoon.

Anyone with any information should contact the Gardai on their confidential free phone line at 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
