She waited a long time to become a mother, so it’s no surprise that Tyra Banks wanted as lengthy a babymoon as possible with her newborn son before introducing him to the world.
This week however she finally came out of hiding to wish her other half, Norwegian photographer Erik Aslaand, and their new arrival a happy Valentine’s Day.
Posting a stunning, pared-back image of herself with York Banks Asla close to her chest in a sling, the supermodel (43) added: “This is the Happiest Valentine’s Day of my life. York, Daddy@erikasla and I send you so much love.”
Banks had spoken publicly about her struggles to conceive and failed attempts at IVF before York was born via gestational surrogate last month.

Announcing his birth, the America’s Next Top Model host said:
“The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here. He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone.”
We can’t wait to watch this model family grow.
