Molly-Mae Hague has admitted that her docuseries has been put on a "long break" due to the backlash it received.
The former Love Islander and fashion mogul released two series of her docuseries, Molly-Mae: Behind It All, with Prime Video.
However, after the release of the latest three episodes in January, the influencer confirmed she is not currently filming any new episodes for the documentary.
During her latest YouTube video, Molly-Mae said: “I haven’t really spoken about or updated you guys about that, but obviously, I’m not currently filming for the documentary.
“It’s nothing major, there’s no big news, it’s just that I’m actually just taking a really nice break from filming. When I say break, I think it will probably be quite a long break,” she confessed.
“I don’t really know. I don’t know what the future has for Molly-Mae: Behind It All, but all I know is that, when I got to the end of filming the last bit, I really needed to be done with it for a little bit,” she continued, before going on to address the backlash the show received.
Many were criticising the docuseries for including footage of Molly-Mae’s daughter Bambi being toilet-trained.
“Considering I am very, very good at taking the opinions, the comments – a lot of people around me say I am made for this job because it doesn’t really affect me, but I think it was massively affecting me; the comments, opinion, the backlash, and just a lot of noise around the documentary,” Molly-Mae shared.
“I can’t stand here and say it wasn’t really affecting me. It’s so weird because normally I’m like, ‘Everyone is allowed an opinion,’ but I think there were things that were kind of – I don’t know – I don’t know how to explain it without saying the wrong thing,” she stated.
Molly-Mae then explained she would like to "regain control" of the content that she produces for her fanbase.
“Since I’ve been back doing my vlogs, my normal work, normal shoots, I have felt like a different version of myself,” Molly-Mae revealed.
“I didn’t really realise how much filming for the doc was, maybe not changing me, but I was in a million different places, I was spinning a million different plates.
“It was a lot. I don’t know how to describe it, it was a big show – Prime – like, it was such an honour, it is such an honour,” she gushed.
“I don’t think this is the end, but I just feel as though it needed to be for a little bit of time,” she detailed, before reassuring fans she will be documenting the arrival of her second child with Tommy.
“We’ve decided that we most definitely want to keep this chapter of our lives a bit more private. It’s in our own controlled way that isn’t dramatised, that’s not for a show, that’s not for people to talk about. That is a lot on a normal week, let alone when pregnant and bringing a baby into this world,” Molly-Mae added.
