This Morning has officially returned to Virgin Media One

Excellent news of a Monday.

This Morning is officially back on Irish TV screens as of today.

The long running UK morning programme and chat show has been off air in Ireland for about five months since a daytime TV reshuffle saw it removed from Virgin Media’s schedule.

Now though, thanks to popular demand Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby are back on at their regular time of 10am until 12.30pm.

This Morning will air on Virgin Media One at this time five days a week, with Ireland AM airing from 7am until 10am, Monday to Friday and from 9am on the weekends.

This popular daytime TV show was initially removed from Virgin Media’s schedule last year to make room for an extended Ireland AM.

Loose Women was also dropped by the station. There are no plans for its return yet.

Virgin Media News will now air from 12.30pm to 1.00pm, while The Elaine Show will return with a brand new set and will move to weekdays from 3pm until 4pm.

This comes a few weeks after veteran This Morning host Philip Schofield announced that he is gay.

The TV presenter issued a statement via the This Morning Instagram page saying:

“This is something that has caused many heart-breaking conversations at home. I have been married to Steph for nearly 27 years and we have two beautiful grown-up daughters, Molly and Ruby.

“Today, quite rightly, being gay is a reason to celebrate and be proud. Yes, I am feeling pain and confusion, but that only comes from the hurt I am causing to my family.”

He later announced the news again live on This Morning, alongside close friend and colleague Holly.
