Wrap up warm because this morning’s new weather warning is grim

We're in for another crappy day

Olivia Hayes

Grim. That’s the only word to describe it.

Met Éireann has released a new weather warning this morning as sleet and ice still remain all over the country.

Ireland will be hit by wind, sleet and rain, as a snow and ice weather warning remains in place until 8pm this evening.

A wind warning for counties Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick will also end today, however the forecaster said to expect “blustery and showery, heavy showers with hail and a risk of thunder.”

Winds will reach a speed of 45 to 65kph with gusts of up to 85kph and western areas will be affected the most.

Tonight will be windy with lots of rain and sleet. Fun.
