Mother Charged With Homicide After Locking Newborn Baby In A Refrigerator

Sharyn Hayden

In horrific news, a mother in the US has being charged with homicide by child abuse after locking her four-day-old son in a refrigerator.

In February, the newborn baby boy was left in the closed fridge for three hours after which time the South Carolina Mother, Angela Blackwell, took him out and called for medical help.

First responders performed CPR on the baby but he was pronounced dead on arrival to the hospital.

According to the Chester County coroner, little baby William David Blackwell died from hypothermia with asphyxiation from being placed in the cold.

There are no reports from authorities as yet to indicate why they believe that Angela Blackwell took such cruel action against her baby but is appearing before a judge next Tuesday.

If she is convicted she could face a possible life sentence.

What a terrible tragedy for that little innocent baby.
