The difference is fairly obvious.
A mother has taken to Facebook to give out about a pair of shorts she wanted to buy for her daughter. In the post, Delea Shand placed a pair of girl’s shorts beside a pair of boy’s shorts from H&M to show the difference between them.
The boy’s pair were knee length, while the girl’s pair were much shorter.
She accused the shop of overly sexualising the girl’s shorts and lacking in gender neutrality.
In the post which she directed at H&M, she said:
“These are the size 5 shorts for boys and girls at H&M right now. I remember when clothes were gender neutral and girls didn’t have to wear clothes that were overly sexualized. This is an outrage.”
