Ellen Fitzpatrick

Genius.

Mrs Hinch is a genius when it comes to hacks, especially hacks that make our lives easier with our little ones.

Sophie Hinchcliffe is a social media star that is best known as Mrs Hinch, and she’s discovered a hack that helps cut down on the washing up.

While we assumed she knew every hack in existence at this rate, it turns out this Happy Meal one even took her by surprise.

Sharing the clip to her Instagram, the 32 year old tore off the middle strip of a McDonald’s Happy Meal box.

The hack revealed the box is made to turn into a small bowl, with the burger, fries and toy sitting nicely inside.

Creating a tray like bowl, it means the kids can still have fun with their meal and parents don’t have to worry about the mess.

She can be heard saying in the clip: “Yep, I was today years old when I realised that you could do this.

“What have I been doing all my life? I have no idea, but I can promise you now, this has changed my life forever.”

Captioning the video, the mum-of-two wrote: “WHHHAATTT! Please tell me I’m not alone here? Did anyone else not know this? why am I always late to the party. Use this audio and share a hack you’ve discovered! No this is not sponsored by McDonald’s in anyway (I wish it was) ATB [all the best]!!”

But she’s not alone in never knowing McDonald’s kids meals could do this as YouTuber Zoe Sugg responded: “I also DID NOT KNOW THIS!! X”

Someone else commented: Wow. Wilby’s staple diet and I did not know that. He will be well impressed when I pull that one out the bag later.”

The official McDonald’s Instagram account even got involved, writing: “Bonus: the kids think you’re some kind of magician.”

After she realised that it wasn’t just her who didn’t know about the trick, Mrs Hinch wrote: “Omggg yaaaay I’m not alone. Why haven’t I done this before now.”

Treat the little ones to a McDonald’s this weekend, it’ll make you look really cool…
