Mum wants her bridesmaid to dye her hair for her wedding… or she’s not invited

Olivia Hayes

Harsh?

Would you make your bridesmaid change the colour of her hair for your wedding? This mum wants to.

Writing on Mumsnet, the woman said that her friend dyed her hair pink a week before her wedding and she wants her to dye her hair back to its original colour, or she’s uninvited.

“My bridesmaid has dyed her hair this week a horrible pink colour and I am getting married next saturday. Am i being unreasonable to ask her to dye it back or uninvite her from the wedding?

“For context she is incredibly self-centered and always wants the attention to be focused on herself and I think she has done it just to stick out in the photos.”

One user said that the mum IS being unreasonable to ask her friend to do such a thing.

“No of course you can’t ask/tell her to dye it back, or dis-invite her. You surely wouldn’t have asked someone other than a friend or relative to be your bridesmaid – you wanted her there. Yes, she will ‘stick out’ in the photos….but not in a good way.”

While another said:

“It does seem suspicious if you know she is an attention seeker. What a conundrum! It seems unreasonable to ask her to dye her hair but at the same time if she did it on purpose its unreasonable of her to think she can be so darn right up herself!”

Obviously it’s understandable that you would be annoyed with a friend doing such a big change a few days before your wedding, but would you make her dye it? Would you uninvite her? Let us know!
