Every parent’s worst nightmare.

A mum has issued a warning to parents after a group of men offered to buy her daughter outside her school.

The horrified mum was taking her daughter to school when the incident occurred.

According to South Yorkshire Police, the woman and her daughter were walking to school when three men approached them.

They produced a large sum of money and asked if they could buy her daughter.

South Yorkshire Police said the men approached the mother and daughter on Batemoor Road, Batemoor at 8.20 am yesterday.

It is believed the men were of Middle Eastern origin, the mum shared.

She described them as being in their late 30s or early 40s. The main man was wearing a grey hoody with stripes on the side. He was also wearing dirty navy tracksuit bottoms and a head warmer, which covered part of his face.

The mum ran towards the Lower Meadow School with her daughter.

Shortly after they heard car tyres screeching.

According to police officers, “The mother refused and ran towards the school with her daughter.”

“The mother then heard a screech of car tyres and a black/ blue vehicle has made off towards Dyche Lane, with the three males inside.”

“Unfortunately no number was got for the vehicle,” police shared.

The mum has urged members of the public and parents to be vigilant.

“Any further sightings of the suspected male should be reported to South Yorkshire Police as soon as possible, allowing officers to attend,” officers told the public.
