Mum shares trick to stop losing socks in the washing machine and it’s an actual game-changer

HOW did we not know this?

Taking out the laundry only to find that half the socks got inexplicably sacrificed to that definitely-real, sock-devouring black hole in the washing machine is irritating at the best of times.

Especially since it’s never a matching pair that go missing – it’s always just one of them.

But one mum has gone viral after she came up with a simple (and affordable) trick to avoid losing socks.

Aussie mum Megsie Vincent shared the trick in the game-changing trick in a Facebook group called Kmart Mums Australia.

According to the Herald Sun, she wrote:

“So this isn’t Pinterest pretty or anything but it is so helpful and easy so I wanted to share.

“This is a laundry bag from Kmartand I’ve attached it with Velcro dots so that I can rip it off and chuck it in the wash.”

While there aren’t any Kmart’s in Ireland, we can’t imagine it would be too difficult (or much more expensive) to put together a setup like this at home.

We’ve found this set out 5 mesh washing bags, which will cost around €6.80 for the set – and some velcro dots to stick on.

The entire project would end up costing around €12, which – in the long run – will be definitely easier than replacing socks all the time.
