Myleene Klass to explore “dark secret” of miscarriage in new documentary

Laura Grainger

The presenter is lifting the lid on pregnancy loss after experiencing four miscarriages.

Myleene Klass is due to explore her heartbreaking experience of miscarriage in a new documentary.

The one-off show, Myleene Klass: Miscarriage and Me, will air on W and see Myleene meet other women who’ve experienced miscarriage.

It’s coming to the channel this October during Baby Loss Awareness Week.

“I need to make this because I needed to watch this,” the 43-year-old wrote on Instagram after the news was announced. “After my miscarriages I needed to try and find some answers, some peace, some solidarity with people who’ve been through it too. You just don’t want to feel alone and yet, it’s the defining feeling of miscarriage, loneliness.

“Making this film, I’ve realised that so many women around me have experienced it.

“I’d like to help make these conversations a little easier. It can’t go on being the big dark secret that we have to carry around.”

The presenter is mother to three children – Ava, 13, Hero, 10, and “rainbow baby” Apollo, 21 months.

News of the documentary comes eight months after she shared she had lost four pregnancies in an attempt to let others know they weren’t alone.

After Chrissy Teigen’s shocking announcement that she had lost her pregnancy last October, Myleene told followers how she searched the web for stories similar to hers after each miscarriage.

“I am Mama to 7 babies, Ava, Hero, Apollo my rainbow baby and 4 little stars in the sky,” she shared at the time. “I know after my own MC’s how I scoured the internet for stories similar to mine for peace, reassurance. I hope this helps even one lost soul.

“To my friends and Mamas who have experienced this, you are the strongest women I know. Thinking of you today.”
