Have you noticed that a stalwart of the biscuit world has been mysteriously missing from its spot on the supermarket aisle lately?
The McVities Ginger Nut vanishes from our shelves in January after a flood at the UK factory where they are produced temporarily halted production.
The flood has also made classics such as the Bourbon Cream, the Custard Cream and Carr’s Water Biscuits a little more difficult to find.
There’s good news on the Ginger Nut front, however. A spokeswoman for McVitie’s told the Guardian: ‘McVitie’s ginger nuts will start to appear on shelves from around 11-12 March, but there will be fluctuations dependent on the retailer.’
So there you have it, ginger nuts. Help is on the way.
