Send a Barróg to someone special.

Toy Show star Adam King has teamed up with The Ronald McDonald House for National Hugging Day 2023.

They’re calling on the public to give a hug that gives back this January.

The public has been asked to send Barróg, the Irish for a  hug, to someone special in their life.

All proceeds from the purchase of Barróg go directly to The Ronald McDonald House.

Funds raised will support The Ronald McDonald House, which provides accommodation and support for families with sick children at CHI Crumlin.

The Ronald McDonald House enables families, including siblings, to stay together.

“They can be actively involved in their children’s day-to-day life while they are long-term in the hospital.

5,000 families have lived there since it first opened 18 years ago.

Adam King’s father David said the charity helped them so much when Adam was in hospital.

He shared, “As parents who have spent a lot of time in hospital at home and abroad, we know all too well the stresses a prolonged stay caring for your child can bring.

“We are delighted to support the wonderful work of The Ronald McDonald House.”

“Adam and his bunny, Bubby, have found a new friend in Barróg.

“I can also confirm that Barróg is certainly up for the job of hugging the nation on the 21st of January.”

Each Barróg gift set, including a Barróg bunny, personalised gift card, and gift, can be purchased for a special price of €10 ex p&p.

All proceeds from the purchase of Barróg go directly to supporting the families at The Ronald McDonald House.

Volunteers will also be collecting funds on behalf of the Ronald McDonald House in Dunnes Stores on January 21st.
