Here’s everything coming to Netflix this October

What a month.

Every month, Netflix treats us to countless new releases, some original and some classics and with a week to go before October rolls around, they’ve announced some new titles.

As always, there is a lot to get through with the new releases, and this month is no different. From documentaries to high grossing films, there is certainly something for everyone here.

To make it that much easier, we’re giving you a break down by categories, so if one format isn’t necessarily your thing, you can scroll until you find it.

Film

The Stranger (2022) – Two strangers become close friends after a chance encounter, however, secrets threaten to ruin their growing bond in this Australian Thriller.

The Final Destination (2009) – This horror flick sees Nick able to save his life and the lives of several others from a dreadful racetrack accident but death follows and soon the survivors begin dying in terrible accidents.

The Last Vermeer (2019) – This thriller revolves around a critically acclaimed artist who is suspected of selling an extremely valuable painting to the Nazis in WW2.

Halloween 2 (2009) – The horror classic’s sequel sees Michael Myers wreak havoc on Haddonfield, Illinois.


Sleepy Hollow (1999) – Investigating the decapitations of three people in Sleepy Hollow, it is found that the murders are committed by a headless man, starring Johnny Depp.

Mr. Harrigan’s Phone (2022) – A young boy communicates with a billionaire from beyond the grave after taking his iPhone, based on a novel by Stephen King.

Luckiest Girl Alive (2022) – Starring Mila Kunis, a New York woman is about to get married before she is invited to be in a true crime documentary about an incident from her teenage years, which unveils a dark truth.

Someone Borrowed (2022) – A Portuguese rom-com.

The Curse of Bridge Hollow (2022) – This Halloween comedy sees a teenage girl unleash an ancient and mischievous spirit that brings decorations to life.

The School for Good and Evil (2022) – Best friends Sophie and Agatha are sent to the School for Good and Evil only to find their fates are switched.

The Good Nurse (2022) – Amy (Jessica Chastain) is a single mum working as a nurse when she meets Charlie (Eddie Redmayne). After a series of mysterious patient deaths, Charlie is the main suspect and Amy risks her life to uncover the truth.

All Quiet on the Western Front (2022) – This German war drama is a remake of the Oscar winning drama which saw the experiences of a German soldier fighting on the frontlines of World War 1.

Wendell & Wild (2022) – Demon brothers Wendall and Wild face their arch nemesis Sister Helly.

TV Shows

Forever Queens (Season 1) – A Spanish reality series.

Peaky Blinders (Season 6) – The crime drama is back on the streaming service for it’s final season.

Nailed It! (Season 7) – A reality baking competition.

Glitch (Season 1) – This K-Drama comedy sees Hong Ji-hyo seek the help of UFO watchers after her boyfriend goes missing.

The Midnight Club (Season 1) – This follows a gang of young adults who live in a hospice who meet in the library each night to tell each other dark and disturbing stories as they look for signs of the after life.

Belascoarán, PI (Season 1) – A Mexican crime drama.

Easy Bake Battle (Season 1) – A reality show where home cooks compete against each other to see who can use kitchen hacks to create the easiest, fastest, and most delicious food.

Everything Calls for Salvation (Season 1) – An Italian comedy sees a  young man spend a week in a psychiatric ward, only to meet five other patients and must contend with research-happy doctors and cynical nurses.

The Queen’s Umbrella (Season 1) – A K-drama which sees the Queen lose her serene nature and is now angry but must endure everyday trials and tribulations that come with her role.

Barbarians (Season 2) – The German war series sees the rejoining of the tribes of Germania and the fight against the Romans.

From Scratch (Season 1) – Studying abroad in Italy, US student Amy falls for a Sicilian man.


Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities (Season 1) – Guillermo del Toro presents an anthology series which sees eight different directors taking on various different bone chilling stories.

Romantic Killer (Season 1) – This Japanese Anime sees Anzu Hoshino playing video games before a mysterious wizard arrives and she is forced to help the world’s declining population.

Big Mouth (Season 6) – Nick, Andrew and the gang return for some more embarrassing moments as they go through puberty.

Drink Masters (Season 1) – Mixologists compete in cocktail making competitions to gain the title of Ultimate Drink Master.

Documentaries

Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes (Season 1) – Conversations with American serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer are recorded on tape to help understand his motives.

The Redeem Team (2022) – After a defeat at the 2004 Olympics, the US Basketball team is on the road to reclaim gold at the 2008 games.

Somebody Feed Phil (Season 6) – Phil Rosenthal travels the world to learn the history of the places he goes to and eat the foods from the regions.

Gabriel Iglesias: Stadium Fluffy Live From Los Angeles (2022) – Gabriel Iglesias discusses growing up in LA, the largest fine ever recorded on stage, and an attempt to extort him.

Unsolved Mysteries (Volume 3) – With interviews, storytelling and mysteries, involved cases are explored.

Descendant (2022) –  A small community in Africatown in Alabama are the descendants of the last known ship to carry sales from Africa to the USA.
