She only realised what had happened when she went to give the baby her first bath and realised it was a boy.
"I immediately checked the label (on the baby's wrist). It said clearly I'd given birth to a girl, not a boy," she said.
Documents given to Oskana and held at the hospital also indicated that the baby was a girl.
"I was shocked and called the hospital to tell them they had given me a boy," she said.
A DNA test by the hospital showed that Oskana had been given the right baby.
The hospital has apologised for telling her the wrong sex initially.
"The midwives were very busy. They were extremely tired," said the hospital's deputy chief doctor Marina Milashenko.
"Of course, we are very sorry that such a situation took place but it did not damage anybody's health or life.
"Documents can be corrected. Once again we send our apologies to the mother."

Oskana is not convinced and is seeking an independent DNA test.
She says she's worried that her baby might have been swapped as she didn't bribe the hospital staff.
"Maybe they were angry because I did not bring them presents or money?," she said.
"I am still shocked with this story, and all my friends are shocked too."
