Newborn Baby Pronounced ‘Dead’ Wakes Up In Morgue

HerFamily

A newborn baby boy who was pronounced dead is fighting for his life in China after waking up just moments before he was due to be cremated.

According to The Telegraph the baby boy, named An An, was born two months premature on January 8th.

His father then asked to take him out of incubation and home for the Chinese New Year, a week earlier than doctors recommended.

Two days later the child had to be rushed to hospital for emergency care. On February 4th, paediatrician Dr Chen Shuanghua declared that the newborn was not breathing and there was no heartbeat.

The child spent the night in a morgue in -12 degree conditions. It was an employee at the funeral home who discovered that he was still alive when he took him out of the refrigerator and he began to wail.

The boy was then sent back to the emergency room where, on Monday, he was being kept under observation.

According to The Epoch Times, Dr Chen said that the odds of his survival are low. He added: “Having been a paediatrician for over 20 years, I can’t really understand how this miracle happened.”
