Brianna Ghey was stabbed to death last weekend.
Friends of Brianna Ghey have spoken out about how she was bullied for years.
The 16-year-old was fatally stabbed at a park in Warrington on February 11th.
Her heartbroken friends said she was constantly bullied because she was trans.
Many of them said the bullying went on for years.
Earlier this afternoon, Cheshire Police confirmed they're now considering whether Brianna's murder was in fact a hate crime.
According to The Mirror, one friend shared, "She was bullied and gang beaten for years for the simple reason of being trans".
Brianna's friends have set up a fundraiser to support her family during this harrowing time.
"We would like to help the Ghey family who has had their beautiful daughter cruelly taken from them in the most shocking and heartbreaking way."

Her friends remembered her as an "outgoing and confident girl".
They also described Brianna as someone who "brought a lot of laughter to those who knew her".
Her friends said Brianna had a bright future ahead of her.
She was also feeling hopeful about adulthood.
"She was looking forward to taking her exams this year as well as beginning her journey into the adult world."
They shared;
"We have set up this page to help the family at this truly devastating time."
Her friends explained that funds will help with Brianna's funeral. They also said they want to make it pink and colourful, which matched Brianna's personality.
Cheshire Police have arrested two 15-year-olds in connection with Brianna's death.
They remain in police custody.
Both suspects have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
