An incredible move by Penneys.
Penneys is set to freeze the price of their kids' products to help parents suffering financially.
The brand has promised to protect the prices of more than a thousand of its essential kids’ products.
The move comes as many families struggle to make ends meet due to the rising cost of living.
The price freeze comes in response to the increasing pressure felt by households up and down the country. From underwear to t-shirts, to dresses and jeans, it will hold prices this autumn across many of its most popular products.
Damien O’Neill, Head of Penneys Ireland and NI, said: “Offering the very best value to our Penneys customers has always been at the heart of our brand.
"It’s more important than ever today.
"Kids grow fast, and replacing their clothing is an essential task for families – we hope that by protecting the prices on our essential kids’ items we can help in some small way, particularly as we enter the costly back-to-school season.”
This means families can pick up essentials including long sleeve T-shirts, dresses, and jeans from €2.30.
Padded Jackets will be available for €18, briefs from €5 for a 10 pack, and socks from €3.50 for a 10 pack.
The products under the price freeze are also part of the Primark Cares label.
This means they are made from recycled or more sustainably sourced materials. This includes the long sleeve kids’ t-shirt and jeans, which are made with cotton from the Primark Sustainable Cotton Programme.
The programme trains farmers to grow cotton using more sustainable farming methods.
