Three people were killed on Irish roads over the Easter weekend, including one pregnant woman.
The victim has been named as 37-year-old, Claire Kavanagh. The mum-of-one was expecting another child at the time of the accident.
According to reports, the mum was three months pregnant.
Mrs. Kavanagh was involved in a fatal two-vehicle road traffic collision on the N24 at Kilsheelan, Co. Tipperary.
The accident took place on Friday, March 29th, at around 10 pm.
A female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Her body was then taken to Waterford University Hospital, where a post-mortem took place.
The male driver, aged in his 40s, was taken to Waterford University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and passengers of the other car were also taken to hospital for treatment for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conducted an examination following the accident.
Gardaí have urged witnesses to come forward following the harrowing accident.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), and were travelling in the area of the N24 at Kilsheelan, Co. Tipperary, on Friday 29th March 2024, between 9:30 pm and 10:10 pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
