Covid: Pfizer data for children’s Covid vaccine is “really positive”

Experts have stressed that Pfizer’s trial results for a child’s Covid vaccine are extremely positive.

5-11-year-olds could be vaccinated if the regulatory bodies approve the vaccine.

Speaking about the results, DCU Immunology Professor Christine Loscher told Newstalk that the trial has been “really positive”.

Professor Loscher added: “The last thing we need is an addition of thousands of children into that system with long COVID symptoms and long-term impact.”

At Home: School inspectors to analyse anti-bullying tactics in classrooms

Minister for Education Norma Foley has revealed that school inspectors are set to look at anti-bullying tactics in schools across the country.

She shared that they will ensure teachers are implementing the right measures to prevent and stop bullying from occurring in schools.

Minister Foley said the aim of the inspections is to “create a positive school culture as well as the implementation of important aspects of the anti-bullying procedures”.

ISPCA appeals for the public’s help in adopting cats and kittens

The ISPCA has called on the public to help find new homes for over 100 cats and kittens.

The furry creatures are currently at the Longford and Donegal ISPCA centres.

“We are struggling to find new owners to adopt so many gorgeous cats and kittens and our catteries in Longford and Donegal are full to capacity, with a waiting list of more cats and kittens to be admitted.”

Adoption contribution fees have been lowered until October 10th.

World: FBI confirms human remains are those of Gabby Petito

The FBI has confirmed that human remains discovered in Wyoming are those of missing 22-year-old YouTuber Gabby Petitio.

The young woman has been missing since September 11th.

The FBI has carried out an extensive search and has now declared her fiancé Brian Landrie’s home a crime scene.

Entertainment: Jennifer Hudson to star in Disney’s live-action Hercules

Another live-action Disney movie is reportedly in the works and we’re already excited about it.

Rumour has it Hercules is set to return to the big screen and quite the famous actress is rumoured to be signing up.

Apparently, Jennifer Hudson is in talks with Disney to star in the remake of the popular animation.

Hudson is a favourite to play one of the singing gospel Muses.
