Punctuality, impeccable hygiene and a good work ethic are the three traits we look for in a colleague, according to a new survey.
According to Cpl’s Employment Market Monitor for Q4 of 2014, one of the most annoying issues with co-workers is body odour. 55% of survey jobseeker respondents said smelly colleagues irritated them, 59% cited punctuality and 43% said constant chatter in the work environment were annoying co-worker habits.
Smoking breaks were another pet peeve. In fact 60% of jobseekers believe that smoking breaks should be banned during work hours, agreeing that they are a large distraction for others across the office.
On the positive side the report records a year-on-year increase in jobs on offer across all sectors, with a bigger upswing in the number of jobs available within the Science, Engineering and Supply Chain and the Sales, Marketing and Retail sectors.
