Nicole Kidman Shares Her Hopes For Another Baby At 49

She is already a mama-of-four, but Nicole Kidman still hasn’t ruled out adding more babes to her brood, it seems.

The Australian actress, who shares adopted children Isabella, 25, and Connor, 21, with ex-husband Tom Cruise, and daughters Sunday Rose, 8, and Faith Margaret, 5, with now husband Keith Urban, revealed in an interview with Event magazine that she is still hoping for another baby at the age of 49 despite several “heartbreaks”.

Kidman has been open about her fertility struggles in the past, and, having conceived daughter 8-year-old Sunday naturally, admitted thinking her chances were getting “slimmer and slimmer” before the couple’s youngest daughter Faith, five, was born through a surrogate.

But the actress has not given up hope of more babies yet: “I still have the faintest hope that something may happen to me this year,” she told the magazine. “Keith and I would love to have more babies.”

And as for her age, the 49-year-old actress is less worried.

“My grandmother gave birth to my mother at 49. I would be beyond happy and just welcome it with open arms. Children are the joy of my life.”

Kidman also touched on her latest film, Lion, in the interview. The drama, based on a real-life story of a young Indian boy who is adopted by Australian couple, is “special”, the actress said, as it shows “motherhood is not a finite thing, there are many ways to be a mother”.

What do YOU think, mamas? Is 49 too old to be trying for another baby? Would YOU go again at that age? Let us know in the comments or tweet us at @Herfamilydotie
