NICU staff in a Ukraine hospital were forced to treat babies in a makeshift bomb shelter.
The New York Times shared the footage.
The haunting clip sees hospital staff caring for around a dozen newborn babies.
Staff from Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Children's Clinical Hospital in Dnipro had to flee the hospital wards when the bombing started.
The neonatal staff had to transport the babies to the basement to keep them safe.
Staff had to rush to the shelter when Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24th.
The babies were tucked up in blankets on makeshift beds in the small room. Healthcare workers can be seen checking on them and administering oxygen to babies who needed it.

Speaking about the horrifying scene, Dr. Denis Surkov told The New York Times: “This is the NICU. In a bomb shelter. Can you imagine? This is our reality.”
People are keeping the hospital staff in their prayers.
"My son spent 2 months in the NICU this year.
"I can't imagine the worry of the parents wondering if their baby is OK. Those nurses running manual vent bags..true heroes."
"Distressing. I had a 30wk baby in NICU cannot imagine how I would have coped with a war going on overhead! Respect for these health professionals. Absolute dedication to these wee babes."
"I have tears in my eyes seeing this! Just can’t imagine what the parents are going through. All those nurses and doctors — you guys are heroes!"
We cannot begin to imagine how these nurses and doctors are feeling, but they continue to work and treat these babies.
To call them heroes simply isn't enough.
The people of Ukraine remain in our thoughts.
