No Sun Appeared Today At Newgrange But There Was A Full MOON

Alison Bough

This chap found a unique way to celebrate the crack of dawn at Newgrange today.

The website of the world heritage site tells us:

“As you wait in the darkness of Newgrange passage tomb, on the very spot where people stood some 5,000 years ago, the first rays of the winter solstice sun creep in to illuminate the burial chamber. A feeling of exhilaration leaps the millennia.”

That same feeling of exhilaration certainly inspired this naked man to leap into action as he clambered up the ancient ritual site earlier today. Although many were disappointed by the rising sun at Newgrange in the early hours of the morning, the same can not be said of this adventurer who certainly rose to the occasion.
