Devastated One Direction fans have taken to Twitter to lament the band’s break-up.
The boyband – comprised of Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, have reportedly decided to go their separate ways for at least 12 months, following the departure of Zayn Malik in March.

While there has been no official statement from the group, formed during the UK series of The X Factor in 2010, a source told The Sun newspaper: ‘The guys have been together for five years, which is an incredible run for any boyband.
They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects. There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 per cent behind the decision.’
According to The Sun, the boys are looking forward to pursuing solo projects and plan to take their hiatus in March and they are not expected to tour their fifth studio album, due out later this year.
