In news you probably did not expect to be reading this morning, former Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher is reportedly being lined up to appear on The Great British Bake Off. The actress has signed up to take part in a celebrity version of the hit baking show that will air in March, a source told the Sun. It's thought the show's bosses want to up the level of celebrity for this special. "Teri is a bit of a left field choice, but Channel 4 are banking on her adding some real Hollywood glamour to Bake Off," the source said. "As well as being a Golden Globe-winning actress, Teri is a keen baker and the fact she jetted all this way proves she’s serious about the competition. UK television will definitely be a new departure for the actress, they continued. "It’ll be interesting to see what she makes of hosts Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding, or if she recognises any of her opponents." Also believed to be taking part in this special Bake Off are comedian Lee Mack and Loose Women's Stacey Solomon. Teri might be best-known for her roles as Desperate Housewives' Susan or Lois Lane in 90s series Lois & Clark but she's actually quite the chef. She now has her own food channel on Youtube and even won a celebrity version of US cooking show Chopped in 2013. We've our fingers crossed that she turns up in the tent in March.
