A book of condolence for Dolores O’Riordan is going to open in Limerick City and online today.

Yesterday, the world was rocked by the news that the lead singer of the Cranberries had passed away suddenly in her hotel room in London. She was in London to record music.

A book of condolence will be opened today at 10am in Limerick City Council’s Corporate Headquarters on Merchant’s Quay.

At the same time, an online book of condolence will be opened on Limerick.ie.

The other members of her band, Noel, Mike and Fergal, led tributes to star last night saying:

“We are devastated on the passing of our friend Dolores.

She was an extraordinary talent and we feel very privileged to have been part of her life from 1989 when we started the Cranberries.

The world has lost a true artist today. Noel, Mike and Fergal.”
