‘Overboard’ is getting a remake and Goldie Hawn’s replacement is pure PERFECTION

Wow, this will bring those childhood memories SLAMMING back.

Classic 1980's rom-com Overboard is making a comeback - this time with MGM and Pantelion Films.  And their replacement for Goldie Hawn is all kinds of awesome. Ok Mag reports that Anna Faris will play the female lead and Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez will play the role made famous by Kurt Russell. (Image via the Wrap)  The original plot is, er, complicated. A man finds a woman with amnesia, kidnaps her, makes her a house slave and then they live happily ever after. Natch. But this time there will be a sneaky twist. Overboard re-imagined will see Derbez as a spoilt playboy falling overboard off his yacht and is convinced by a single, working-class mum (Faris) that he's her husband. Genius. (Feature Image via MGM)
