The adorable Peruvian bear is finally back!… and in a spot of trouble once more.
Paddington’s movie debut in 2014, based on the books by late author Michael Bond, saw the poor fellow get lost in London. But thankfully he found the wonderful Brown family to take him in, who he lives with to this day.
Paddington is very popular and well-known about the town, but all is not well.
This time around, the loveable bear finds himself dealing with the wrath of some very petty criminals who have targeted the community of Windsor Gardens. Even the gift he buys for Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday is snatched!
Ever the inquisitor, Paddington begins noseying about, but when he raises his suspicions, the bear is wrongfully accused of the heinous crimes and finds himself thrown into prison.
Thankfully, it’s not all bad. Paddington’s new prison buddies help him to solve this crime puzzle and clear his good Paddington name. Who exactly does he team up with in prison? None other than Knuckles McGinty (Brendan Gleeson)!
Like the first film, director and co-screenwriter Paul King will be back, along with Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters plus newbies including Joanna Lumley, Sanjeev Bhaskar and Hugh Grant as an actor turned possible thief (or so Paddington believes).
Padding 2 is set to hit cinemas on 10 November!
