The father never gave up looking for his beloved son.

Parents have finally been reunited with their abducted son after 24 years.

Guo Gangtang and his wife never stopped searching for their son, who was abducted when he was playing outside their family home.

He was only 2-years-old.

“My baby, you came back!” said his mum as they embraced in Liaocheng, Shandong on Sunday.

“Now that the child has been found, everything can only be happy from now on,” his dad said.

It is believed their son, who is now 26, was taken by human traffickers who planned to sell him for money. The pair, who were dating at the time of the abduction, snatched the child when they spotted him playing outside and took him to a bus station.

The couple then sold the child, but it is believed he was living in the same province.

Mr Gangtang spent his life savings on finding his son. It is understood he travelled over 500,000km across China looking for his son.

He travelled on the back of a motorbike chasing tip-offs and slept under bridges and even faced highway robbers.

He had to beg for money, but never let anything stop him from finding his beloved son.

There is a movie based on the father’s search to find his son.
