Parents set up a secret camera to catch their nanny abusing their child.
Anastasia Zhelyabova is facing prosecution after the footage showed her slapping, hitting, and pinching the eight-month-old baby.
The infant’s parents handed the footage to Russian police after they discovered what was happening.
Metro.co.uk reports that the boy’s mother, Elena Levendeeva, said that she became suspicious when he began crying every time he was left with Zhelyabova.
The footage shows the child lying on a sofa and being beaten while being fed by the nanny.
Local police said that the investigation is now “over.”
“The investigation of the criminal case when the woman beat a small child is now over.
“(Zhelyabova) beat the baby several times on his bottom and on the face, and she lifted the child and threw him on the floor.”
The 31-year-old faces up to 10 years in prison if she is found guilty.
This comes after a nanny was shown to throw an infant into a cot leaving the girl “broken.”
The baby’s parents had set up hidden cameras after they discovered bruises on the child’s body.
They said that their daughter was “so broken after everything.”
The nanny is now facing murder charges in Namibia.
