It might be best to plan ahead.
Met Eireann has said that it is expecting to issue a Red Weather Warning this week as temperatures plummet and large accumulations of snow hit the country. At present, it's forecasted that the east and south-east of the country are going to be the worst affected areas.
According to
The Mirror, Met Eireann has said that some school may be closed as a result.
On the possibility of schools closing, it has said, "Just to remind you, Yellow level warnings mean be aware; Orange level warnings mean be prepared and Red level warnings mean take action.
The possibility of school closures during the mid or later end of the week is a real possibility with this extreme event coming our way."

Broadcaster Joanna Donnelly has indicated the low temperatures that can be expected at the end of the week.

I want to go back over something for clarity here; charts are used as guidelines for creating forecasts. This is my own twitter feed and not that of Met Eireann. For offical forecasts please visit https://t.co/SovOYXAnV5 and watch the warnings there.
