The pram has been urgently recalled
An urgent recall has been issued after the brand Stokke detected a fault in one of their prams.
The brand has warned Irish parents to stop using the pram immediately because of an issue with the brake.
They explained that there is a problem with the brake on certain models, and it may “unintentionally” release during use, posing a danger.
Babies and toddlers are at risk due to the fault.
The Stokke team confirmed the Stokke® YOYO³ prams are being recalled.
The brand stated: “Ensuring the wellbeing and safety of the children and families using our products is our main priority.
“We recently identified a potential parking brake issue in certain Stokke® YOYO³ prams that could result in an unintentional release of the brake during use. Out of an abundance of caution we have initiated a recall of the affected Stokke® YOYO³.”
The team has set up a portal to determine whether your pram is in the batch subject to this recall and provide the applicable remedy available to you.
They added, “We sincerely apologize for any concern and inconvenience this matter may cause you.
“We understand how important it is to choose safe and reliable products for your child. This is why we are dedicated to the safety and well-being of every baby and child who uses our products. We design and test our products rigorously to ensure they meet or exceed all applicable international safety standards.”
