Tributes paid to boy (12) who died days after his Confirmation

Patrick McDonagh died just days after his Confirmation.

Tributes have been pouring in for 12-year-old Patrick McDonagh after his untimely death.

The young boy died just days after his Confirmation, The Irish Mirror reports.

The Finglas boy’s parents are heartbroken by their son’s death.

It is believed Patrick died at his home, just days after making his Confirmation.

However, his cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.

The 12-year-old died on June 14th.

He is survived by his parents, Michelle and Patrick, as well as his siblings.

His family shared, “Patrick made his Confirmation last Wednesday and took the name, Michael.

Patrick will be laid to rest on Monday, June 20th. His funeral service will take place at St Canice’s Church in Finglas Village.

He will then be buried at Glasnevin Cemetery.

Everyone attending Patrick’s funeral has been asked to wear bright-coloured clothes.

Patrick’s school penned a moving tribute after news of his death emerged.

“Our whole school community is shocked and devastated at the loss of our 6th class pupil Patrick. Only last week we celebrated Patrick’s Confirmation day.”

“We extend our deepest sympathies to Michelle, Pat, Leona, Rebecca, Dylan, Seán & Jordan & all of Patrick’s extended family and friends. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.”

“Our hearts are broken Patrick, We will always remember you,” the school added.
