Penneys issues urgent recall on children’s toy due to choking risk

Penneys has issued an urgent recall on one of their children’s toys due to choking risk.

The popular store is urging parents to return the children’s wooden xylophone with a mallet.

The store is concerned that the children’s wooden xylophone with mallet poses a risk to young kids.

Small parts of the product may become loose and could be ingested by small children.

This could lead to potential choking and ingestion hazard, Penneys stressed.

The affected products were sold in stores between May 8th and October 18th, 2021.

The CCPC said, “A safety issue has been identified with the affected products where there is a risk that small parts (xylophone foot and ball at the top of the mallet) may become detached from the product, which can be a potential choking and/or ingestion hazard.”

If you have purchased one of these products then stop using it immediately. Parents have been told to keep it out of the reach of children.

You can return the product to any Penneys store.

Penneys confirmed that customers will be given a full refund when they bring the product back.

Customers don’t need to provide proof of purchase.
