You won’t want to miss this.

For the first time ever, there is going to be a new festival in Dublin based solely around podcasts. The folks at Headstuff have announced their Dublin Podcast Festival that includes a very impressive line-up.

Not only have they got some of the best Irish podcasts involved, but they’ve also confirmed some of the biggest names from the international podcasts.

The event will consist of discussions and workshops at various locations around Dublin City.

If you thought that all sounds impressive, then wait until you see the line-up.

The one we’re most excited about is Brian Reed, the host of the murder mystery podcast S-Town, who will be part of an evening at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.

The surrealist wonderland of Welcome to Night Vale will come to life on the stage at the National Concert Hall.

Actor/rapper/poet Scroobius Pip will bring the brilliant Distraction Pieces podcast.

The hit British comedy podcast My Dad Wrote A Porno will be paying a visit to Vicar Street, as will Criminal and The Memory Palace.

Jarlath Regan will host a very special episode of An Irishman Abroad as he interviews special guest writer and national treasure Roddy Doyle.

Elsewhere, HeadStuff will host different workshops and live podcasts from their many shows including NO ENCORE with very special musical guests Overhead, the Albatross and Daithi, The Alison Spittle Show, food podcast With Relish, Juvenalia, Reviewables, Personality Bingo, Fascinated with Gearoid Farrelly, and Dubland presented by PJ Gallagher & Suzanne Kane.
